Common Sandpiper falls under the wader or shorebird category and is seen near water bodies like streams, rivers, lakes, and marshes. These birds can be spotted in elevation ranging from 75m above sea level to 1350m. The upper part of the bird is brown with the bill being pale yellow at the base and dark at the tip. The underparts are white with dark yellow legs and feet.
