A large kingfisher that is found in elevations ranging from 75-760m, the Stork-billed Kingfisher’s habitats are rivers, lakes, and banks of large water bodies.

As the name suggests it has a large bill which is red along with the legs. Adults have an olive-brown head with a green-blue upper part. The wings and the tail are blue and the underparts are light brownish yellow.
