The Golden Yellow-flowered Dendrobium (Dendrobium chrysanthum) is an epiphytic orchid found in the mid-hill forests of Nepal, typically growing on tree trunks and mossy branches at elevations of about 1,300–2,400 meters. It has slender, cane-like stems with ovate green leaves along the nodes.
The plant produces bright golden-yellow flowers about 4–5 cm across, usually appearing in small clusters from the nodes of the stem. Each flower has broad petals and sepals and a distinctive rounded lip marked with reddish or chestnut blotches near the center. Flowering generally occurs during the warmer months, adding vivid color to humid forest habitats.
