The Grey-headed canary-flycatcher during winter, inhabits elevations ranging from 75m to 1800m while being an abundant partial visitor at 1500m to 2400m.
This bird is easily recognizable by its squarish, slightly peaked gray head, narrow white eyering, and olive-green upperparts. Its upper breast is gray, transitioning to a bright canary-yellow belly.
