Indian Golden Oriole is found in open deciduous forests, forest edge, habitation in an elevation ranging from 75 – 1830m. As the name suggests the plumage is golden-yellow in the male with a black eye patch and pale red bill. The wings are black along with the tail. The female has a yellow-green upperpart, black streak on white underpart, brownish-green wing and tail.

Oriole hunts insects along with feeding on fruits and nectar.
