Verditer “a light blue or bluish-green pigment, typically prepared by adding chalk or whiting to a solution of copper nitrate, used in making crayons and as a watercolor.”
As the name suggests Verditer Flycatcher is blue-green in color all over the body with black lores and grey vent. Females are lighter blue with dusky lores. They are found around edges of forests esp. broadleaved, wooded areas and feed on tiny winged insects. Common and are seen in elevation ranging from 1200-2625m in summer.
The picture above was taken in Ichangu (1578m). Other areas where I have been able to spot them are Ramkot (1400m), Kakani (2048m).
