Common Name: Greater Racket-tailed Drongo

The largest Dorongo species in Nepal is found below 150m in an open broad-leaved forest. Greater Racket-tailed Drongo can be identified by its glossy black plumage, crest of curled feather starting above the beak and as the name suggests its tail which has rackets at the end. They feed on insects, fruit and also nectar from flowers.
