Location: Bardiya National Park, Nepal

Hog deer are found in lowlands ranging from 75m to 300m above sea level and are seen around tall lowland grasslands. A medium-sized deer compared to Spotted deer; they have stout rump and lowered forequarters. Males have antlers that bear three tines. These deer have an olive-brown coat with the underside of the tail white.
