Common Name: Mountain Ebony

Mountain Ebony also is known by the name Orchid tree and can be found in slopes of sub-tropical valleys growing up to 10-12 m tall.  The flower of this tree is 8-12 cm in diameter, has five petals  and are pinkish white. The leaves look like a heart shaped cow’s hoof (obcordate) and are about 10–20 centimeters. The flower of this tree is edible and is used as vegetable and pickle. The flowers are even used as herbal medicine.
