Found in the plains and upwards of 1000m above sea level, these Spotted Deers are the most common and visible deer. With reddish-brown coat with white spots, the male and female are almost similar except the male have antlers and female are smaller in size than the male.  The Spotted Deer and the Langur have a unique relation; Spotted Deers works as a lookout for the Langurs and they, in turn, feed off on the fruits and leaves dropped by the Langurs.
