A grassland bird found in elevation ranging from 75m above sea level to 1350m, Zitting Cisticola are seen around open grasslands, cultivations, and other grasslands near water areas .
Zitting Cisticola have rufous brown upper which is streaked with black markings and the underside is plain. They have white tip on the broad fan shaped tail. The adult breeding males have a diffused brown crown and a dark bill.
