Another year passes by and I’m really happy that the blog has an increase in visitors than last year. I would like to thank you guys for coming back again and again to see the updates and keeping me motivated.

End of the year and what a month it has been. Traveled to a lot of new places and saw a lot of flora and fauna. I loved documenting the flora and fauna but I also reminded myself to focus on macro photography which I used to do a lot. 2018 will definitely be the year in which I will be mixing up the flora and fauna and try to include more species than I have in 2017.

A lot of species of flora and fauna were seen and some were documented. Species like the Asian Openbill, Ruddy Shelduck, Sandpiper, Collared Scops Owl, Indian Peafowl, Grey-headed Fish Eagle, White-throated Kingfisher, Black Stork, Lesser Adjutant, Common Kingfisher, Red-headed Vulture, Black-crowned Night Heron, Spotted Dove, Honey Buzzard, Great Cormorant, Mugger Crocodile, Asian Elephant, Chital, Eurasian Wild Boar, I could document and take pictures of but missed out on being able to take pictures of Sambar, Small Indian Mongoose, Common Moorhen, Rufous Treepie,  Darter, etc.

Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year 2018 and a wonderful year ahead. Hoping to get more feedback and comments about the blog and the improvements needed in the coming years.

With warm regards,
Happy New Year 2018

  1. Love the owl shot. Thanks for listing the photos you missed. Sometimes I feel like it didn’t happen if I didn’t get a photo but, in reality, I learn more by watching rather than photographing. Looking forward to seeing what you see this year. Happy New Year

  2. Thank you, Peter, for the comment. I really like to put the names of the missed species I couldn’t take any pictures of so that I have a goal set for next time. Plus for me, I have better memories of the ones I’ve missed than the ones I’ve taken pictures of.
Wishing you a very good year ahead. Happy New Year.
