Widespread across the mid-hills of Nepal, the White-throated Laughingthrush is a sociable bird, typically found in flocks that move noisily through forests and scrublands at elevations between 300 and 3,500 meters.
Easily recognized by its rich brown plumage, ochre-colored belly, and striking white throat, this species brings both life and sound to the Himalayan foothills. Its name comes from the loud, chuckling calls that echo through its habitat, especially during dawn and dusk.
