Common Name: Brown Dipper

Nepali Name: Khairo Banjul ( खैरो वन्जूल )
Size: 20 cm
Location: Phera, Solukhumbu, Nepal
Brown Dipper is found in streams and rivers in the range of 1525 m above sea level to 4960m. They have Brown plumage which is lighter in color in the back and breast.
These birds can be seen floating downstream, catching aquatic organisms on the way, fly back up again, and repeat the process.
