Widespread and found in elevation below 1830m these Common tailorbirds can be seen around open woodlands, gardens, scrublands, etc.

These birds have bright green upperparts with a rufous colored crown and a sharp bill that has a curve at the end of the upper mandible. The underpart is creamy white. Measuring up to 13cm this bird is insectivorous. They have a distinctive cheeup-cheeup-cheeup call.
