Common Name: Dobsonfly
Size: 100-150mm (wingspan)
Location: Sitapaila, Kathmandu, Nepal
Hadn’t seen these kinds of insects ever until they came flying and landing on a rope when I was out taking macro of the bugs. After scouring the net for what kind of insect it was, I finally found that it was a Dobsonfly. The larvae of these flies live in the streams and once adult they live for a week only.
