Common Name: Globe amaranth

Nepali Name: Makhmali Phool, Supari Phool ( मखमली फूल, सुपारी फूल )
Size: Male – 30 – 60 cm
Location: Damauli, Nepal

Commonly seen in magenta color but also found in white and pale purplish/pink color these Globle Amarnath grow up to 30 – 60 cm tall. As the name suggests the flower head is in a globular shape which consists of not so visible flowers.

These plants are very tolerant of heat and drought but it grows very well in full sun and moister. The leaves are oblong and 10 to 16 cm long.
