Common Stonechat is a widespread and common bird that is found around cultivations, open country, bushes, shrubs in places ranging from 365 m to 4880 m during summer and below 1500 m during winter. 

The male of this medium-sized bird has a black head, orange breast, and white rump. The female has streaked rufous-brown above, white wing-patch with orange in the breast and rump.
