Common Name: Indian Luna Moth
Scientific Name: Actias selene 
Size: Male – 120 mm, Female – 140mm (Wingspan)
Location: Listikot, Sindupalchowk, Nepal

Commonly found upwards till 2500m in the eastern and central region of Nepal, these moths have a wingspan of 120mm in male and 140m in the female. The forewings are pale green with a white head, thorax and abdomen. These moths generally fly during the night.
