Slender Anthogonium (Anthogonium gracile) is a terrestrial orchid found in Nepal’s mid-hill forests and grassy slopes. This elegant species produces a slender flowering stalk bearing numerous delicate flowers that range from pale pink to deep rosy-purple. The flowers are tubular when viewed from the side and open into a graceful form with narrow petals and sepals, giving the plant a distinctly delicate appearance.

The plant grows from small underground pseudobulbs and produces narrow, lance-shaped leaves. It typically flowers during late summer and autumn, adding subtle color to forest edges, open woodlands, and grassland habitats. In Nepal, it is generally recorded between 1,000 and 2,500 meters in elevation, although it may occasionally occur slightly outside this range.
